Midweek = cheaper, quieter, easier parking
Pre-book everything
Resort entry (e.g. Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort)
Lift passes, lessons, and activities
Equipment hire (Book wheel chains with us. No need to book anything else as we fit you instore)
Fuel & vehicle prep
Fill up before heading up (no fuel beyond Moe or Tyers)
Diesel vehicles: use anti-gel / winter additive
Check tyres, battery, coolant, and brakes
Wheel chains (mandatory for all vehicles)
Carry chains that fit your vehicle
Practice fitting before you go (we have facilities to practice in store)
Fit only when required and to correct drive wheels
Drive to the conditions
Slow down, increase stopping distance
Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns
Watch for ice (especially early morning & late afternoon)
Wear the right clothing
Waterproof jacket & pants
Warm layers (no cotton, no jeans)
Gloves, beanie, goggles/sunglasses
Waterproof and warm boots
Pack smart
Spare dry clothes & socks
Sunscreen (snow glare burns)
Snacks + water
Phone charger/power bank
Plan your day
Arrive early for parking
Expect queues during peak times
