2026 Season Wrap

That’s a wrap on what has been one of the strangest and toughest seasons we’ve experienced at Erica Ski Hire.

Super El Niño, combined with the ongoing effects of climate change, delivered a very challenging winter, with limited natural snow and a much shorter season than anyone wanted.

A huge thank you to our customers for continuing to support us — and especially to our fantastic staff, who worked through some pretty difficult conditions to keep things running.

Effective today, Sunday 23 August, 7pm, Erica Ski Hire is closed for the 2026 season.

With the lifts closing and snow conditions deteriorating, it’s simply not viable to continue.

One last chance at the mountain

Mount Baw Baw has free entry next week, with limited snow play still available around the village, conditions permitting. Village Central will also be open for meals.

No lifts, but there’s still a little winter left to enjoy.

Thanks again for your support in 2026. **Bring on 2027 — and hopefully a LOT more snow!**
