Battles

True to form this season we are battling another high front that is keeping things warmer than we like. This dirty big high is sitting over us and pushing all the cold air south. Don't despair though it means cold crisp nights and the team at Baw Baw is working every opportunity to make snow to keep them operational.

They have worked mega hard to stockpile snow for the Battle@BawBaw today from 3:00pm so get on up and have a go at the $4000 prize pool. Open to all ages and abilities.

Today we have Tank Hill, Hut Run and Magic Carpet turning and fair tobogganing and snow play in areas open. Still ok cover out on the back trails if you like walking too but skis are out for us with such limited cover.

St Gwinear........well it is beautiful year round and today is no different. The only problem is there really isn't any snow there. The dedicated hiker will find snow out around the rock shelter, St Phillack, Gwinear summits but nothing at the car park. Again, sorry but we are nt hiring skis

Baw Baw Battle this weekend

Due to the current conditions Baw Baw has turned the Battle at Baw Baw into an amateur event. This means you have the chance to win part of the $4000 prize pool tomorrow. All ages and abilities so get in and have a go. Registration is free and opens at 2:00pm tomorrow. It will be run at the restaurant this year to make it a better event for spectators so even if you cant participate its going to be great fun to watch.

Conditions today are as follows

Tank Hill, Hut run and Magic Carpet are open. Rated Fair

Tobogganing is good as is snowplay. Patchy snow around the village but good cover further up, so go for a walk and you will find lots of secluded spots to stretch out and play.

Parks Vic have pulled out until further snowfall
